Conditions of participation

Who should be taking part in Meeting Place Berlin?

Only buyers, regional service providers and journalists can participate at Meeting Place Berlin.

National and international decision-makers in the field of conference and meeting organising events with generally at least 100 participants are admitted as buyers. Since the quota of buyers is limited, we can only admit (accredit) buyers who have completed the qualification form and who meet the requirements of Meeting Place Berlin.

Please note that definite invitations to participate in Meeting Place Berlin are only extended to accredited applicants. We regret that invitations cannot be transferred to third parties.

Two persons of one company can only register if they are working in varied departments or different locations. In any case the one-to-one appointments have to be arranged and attended separately.


Terms & Conditions – Registration & Participation

Your participation at Meeting Place Berlin 2011 includes the following services free of charge:

  • four overnight stays (07th – 11th July 2011) including breakfast in one of the leading hotels in Berlin
  • Meet Professionals Day – workshop with a minimum of 15 guaranteed appointments
  • Meet Berlin Day – Berlin-Incentive
  • Meet Around – different lectures and Site Inspections
  • three evening events 
  • one cultural highlight
  • predefined transfers to the different venues
  • food & berverages during the official programme

All other costs and incidental expenses are borne by the participant, e.g.: additional overnights, mini bar, telephon, pay-TV, private transfers, extra food & beverage, individual arrival and departure etc. If you miss one of the offered transfers you have to pay the additional costs for a private transfer on your own.

Your participation at Meeting Place Berlin is non-transferable. Should any circumstance arise whereby you have to cancel your participation after 19th May 2011, you may request to substitute another person from your organisation. If that person meets the qualification criteria, the cancellation charge is not applicable to the original buyer. If the substitution is not accepted by the organiser, the usual cancellation terms apply to the original buyer.

Please note that Meeting Place Berlin 2011 is an event to market the region Berlin. We kindly ask for understanding that the sale of own services of any kind is not permitted through the trade visitor and if so the accompanying person during the whole event. In every case of noncompliance a penalty of 300.00 € plus VAT will be charged and the involved person will be excepted from the event.

Terms & Conditions – Cancellation & No Show 

Participation can be cancelled in written up to 19th May 2011 free of charge. The cancellation is accepted if you received an written confirmation by the organiser. Cancellations received after this date or non-attendance (no show) will incur a processing fee of 150.00 € plus VAT per person. In this connection we also can not consider any cases of disease, short term change of dates or similar. This kind of risks can be covered as you take out a travel cancellation insurance on your own.

Your participation in the official parts of the programme and the compliance with the appointments will be checked by the organiser. The processing fee of 150.00 € plus VAT per person will also be charged if you do not attend the official programme (see above) after having embarked on the journey. Your credit card details will be only debited by the organiser if terms of cancellation or no show become effective.

Participation in Meeting Place Berlin 2011 is at your own risk.
