The Theater am Potsdamer Platz is with 1,800 seats one of the biggest and best-located theatres in Berlin. The Potsdamer Platz, once Europe's busiest square and the birthplace of entertainment in old Berlin, has found its role after revitalisation and continues with established traditions. The mixture of work, shopping and entertainment has been very well received despite of all the predictions to the contrary. Today, new urban life has moved in here and the areas of DaimlerChrysler and Sony create a diverse link between the former east and west parts of the city. The impressive theatre building designed by Italian star architect Renzo Piano has been one of the most popular visitor attractions an Postdamer Platz since 1999. The front is a 35 metres high glass façade. The bright and modern foyer with its stylish pieces of art and cosy lounges gets the visitor into the right mood for an unforgettable evening with the spectacular show of the BLUE MAN GROUP.
