Networking among Daimler, Maserati & Co.

Meeting Place Berlin, special edition 2006, opened this year with the welcome reception at Meilenwerk Berlin. Originally a tram depot and today an exciting destination for automobile fans of all sorts, Meilenwerk Berlin provided ideal conditions for networking among the regional exhibiters and our national and international guests. An eminent Bentley, a legendary Rolls Royce or a sparkling new Ferrari: the very old and the brand new from the automotive world created the perfect relaxed atmosphere for making new contacts.

Site Inspection Tours

... Classic site inspections a thing of the past!

Our guests had the opportunity to choose among four different site inspection tours or to put together a tour of their own.

Unusual "design" hotels, traditional conference hotels and hip and popular meeting venues welcomed our guests to site inspection tours of a very special kind. The capital surprised its visitors with many new ideas and unlimited opportunities.

Berlin has far more to offer than the Reichstag, the Television Tower & the Brandenburg Gate!

Our guests had a choice of two different sightseeing tours. The classic tour introduced visitors to Berlin's most famous tourist attractions and historical treasures.
Participants already familiar with Berlin had the opportunity to take a "Berlin for aficionados" tour. This unusual sightseeing tour offered them a glimpse into a Berlin that is not to be found in any guidebook. Typical Berlin squares and rear courtyards, as well as a stop at the newly completed main train station (Hauptbahnhof), opened a window on day-to-day life in Berlin.

"Show, Fair & Dine" Workshop

A very special workshop was held for all the guests in the axica Congress and Conference Centre. Local service providers presented themselves in the luxurious ambience of this venue, which is located right at Pariser Platz: ideal conditions for forging new contacts or strengthening ties already made.
After the workshop, the "axica clubbing" event provided good music and a selection of cocktails to bring the evening to a pleasant and relaxing close.

Incentive Tag in Berlin

Explore Berlin – Discover the Possibilities!

Whether you prefer to explore the city by water, air or in one of the legendary Trabants, Berlin holds out a wealth of opportunities for its visitors.

Our guests also experienced the German capital in a very special way. After a trip by velo-taxi, participants continued their exploration in a Trabant safari, passing the Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall), the Fernsehturm (Television Tower), the Berlin Cathedral, and heading on to Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie, where they were surprised by an unusual police inspection.

After lunch in the Hilton, the guests were able to enjoy Berlin from the water on a pleasant trip on the River Spree before the busses brought them back to their five-star host hotels.

My little green cactus...

The final evening of Meeting Place Berlin took the title line of a Comedian Harmonist song as its motto: "Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus" – "My little green cactus". Together with the regional exhibitors, Meeting Place Berlin guests attended the open-air concert of Max Raabe and his Palast Orchester in Berlin’s Waldbühne.
Guests were invited by their host hotels for a farewell drink in the hotel bar to put the finishing touch on the evening.
